Missionaries
We are proud to be a part of the missional work with the missionaries in the world for the sake of God's kingdom.
TIM & KALLIE HUTTON
CBM Missionary in Bolivia
Tim and Kallie Hutton are working with the staff of Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) partners, the Bolivian Baptist Union (UBB) and its development arm, OBADES, to build and support effective programs and ministries. They are working to get churches involved with strategic community development projects as well as expanding the capacity of the seminary to train effective leaders. Another important focus is improving accessibility to theological resources and other vital information that can be challenging for Bolivians to access.
Partners
We are serving Jesus Christ with the faithful partners.
The Soup Haven
Kathy Connors of Yorkton was distressed with the apparent child hunger in the city and came up with the idea of providing a nourishing breakfast for these hungry children. With no money or other support other than friends donating food, she found that it was not feasible to provide breakfasts so she decided to provide a noon lunch. Kathy was a member of the Alliance Church and arranged with the church to use the basement as her "Soup Haven". In April 1998, she started her noon lunch program and by the end of December had served over 7000 plates, indicating a great need for this service.
Madge Lake Bible Camp
Madge Lake Bible Camp has enjoyed a rich heritage of successful summers as it served to be a ministry and an outlet to all ages, providing the opportunity for many people to be moved toward a closer look at nature and gain a better understanding of our Creator. MLBC was founded in 1954 with a desire to have the Gospel message become more clearly understood by more people. Several years ago we joyously celebrated our 65th anniversary of operation. There has always been a genuine desire at Madge to evangelize the surrounding communities and to work alongside churches in the area.
